Abstract: 

The paper has been performed to review LIBRARY administrators' strategic planning role to improve the LIBRARY STAFF of medical sciences university of Iran. The study is survey-descriptive. The statistical population consists of 50 LIBRARY administrators working in Iran medical sciences university, but 44 subjects responded to the questionnaire used to gather data. The reliability (91.7%) was calculated with Cronbach’s alpha formula. To analyze the data, analytical-descriptive statistics was applied. Descriptive statistics indices such as frequency, percentage, and mean, Chart … are considered to analyze the data. On the other hand, to respond the questions, Analytical statistics (Spearman non – parametric test) would be employed. The research data indicate that there is a significant relationship between strategic planning and job satisfaction, organizational commitment, working conscience, working motivation, productivity. The highest and lowest relationship is between strategic planning and working motivation (P=0.000) and communicative skills (P=0.709) respectively. The data indicate that there is a significant relationship between administrators' strategic planning and main components of the questionnaire. The whole subject matter particularly working motivation among the STAFF need to be considered by LIBRARY administrators and authorities at each point, thus, the STAFF will benefit from optimal job satisfaction, organizational commitment, working conscience, job motivation, and human force productivity within their own tasks.

پیشرفت فناوری اطلاعات و ارتباطات تحولات عظیمی را در کتابخانه ها و مراکز اطلاعاتی ایجاد کرده و خدمات اطلاع رسانی از شکل سنتی به شکل الکترونیکی در حال حرکت است. هدف اصلی کتابخانه های دیجیتالی، دستیابی سریع به اطلاعات مورد نیاز و کاهش هزینه ها می باشد. این امکان به مراجعه کنندگان اجازه می دهد تا از محل کار و یا منزل خود از وجود یا عدم وجود منبع مورد نظر در کتابخانه اطلاع پیدا کنند در این راستا کتابخانه دانشکده دندانپزشکی شهید بهشتی در رویکردی برای رسیدن به سوی الکترونیکی شدن در گام نخست امکان جستجوی اطلاعات کتابشناختی منابع خود را از طریق شبکه جهانی اینترنت در اختیار کلیه پژوهشگران قرار داده است.این مقاله سعی دارد به معرفی امکانات موجود در این سایت بپردازد.

Abstract: 

Aim: Social capital is an important factor affecting the creativity, productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of the organization. Concerning the growth of communities and organizations, increasing the quality of services, increasing employee motivation, success in competition, reducing costs, job satisfaction, resources waste, and the reduction of a bureaucracy affect and encourage pragmatism that is needed further investigation. Therefore, it can be said that social capital can play a key role in the emergence of organizational creativity and organizational efficiency in librarians. Given the importance of libraries in society and the prominent role of librarians, especially librarians in public libraries in promoting the public culture of a society, investigating the relationship between social capital and organizational efficiency and organizational creativity, especially among librarians in public libraries seems necessary. Methodology: The present study applied and survey-correlation method is used. The statistical population of this study consisted of 260 librarians of public libraries in Kermanshah province, of which 155 were selected as a sample. Data were collected using Chang and Chung Social Capital Questionnaire (2011), Torrance Organizational Creativity (1959), and Pinprayong & Siengtai, Organizational Performance Questionnaire (2012). The reliability was obtained using Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0. 76, 0. 81, and 0. 72, respectively. To analyze the data, frequency distribution table, mean and standard deviation, structural equation modeling, and Bootstrap method were used in Amos software and multiple linear regression in SPSS software. Findings: The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between social capital and organizational creativity and organizational efficiency. Also, organizational creativity does not play a mediating role in the relationship between social capital and organizational efficiency. Finally, the findings indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between all three dimensions of social capital (relational, structural, and cognitive) with organizational creativity and organizational efficiency. Conclusion: According to the research findings, it can be concluded that social capital affects the organizational creativity of librarians in public libraries in Kermanshah province. Therefore, it is suggested to the managers of public libraries of Kermanshah province to consider the sense of friendship and intimacy, cooperation and cohesion among librarians and to strengthen the factors affecting it in the organization to increase the organizational creativity of librarians. Also, it was found that social capital affects the organizational efficiency of public librarians in Kermanshah province. Therefore, it is suggested to the managers of public libraries of Kermanshah province, instead of exorbitant costs to increase the efficiency and productivity of the organization, to improve the internal organizational conditions. Consequently, increasing the organizational efficiency of librarians and the efficiency of the public LIBRARY will occur.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study is to determine STAFF Performance Competencies and Information Security: An Analysis of the Role of LIBRARY Software System Development. The statistical population in the qualitative part was 18 specialists and professors in the field of information science and computer science, and in the quantitative part was the STAFF of the central libraries of the Islamic Azad Universities of Iran. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between functional competencies and information security management with the mediating role of LIBRARY software system development. These results will be useful in identifying the effects of LIBRARY software system development and STAFF performance competencies in information security management of libraries of the Islamic Azad Universities in Iran. This article is the only article that simultaneously examines the role of human factors and the role of non-human factors (software system development) in information security in academic libraries. Therefore, in the future, researchers may obtain more variables to obtain Combine a clearer picture of information security in libraries. This analysis helps researchers in the field of librarianship to understand the growth and development of software systems. This article is one of the first recent attempts to understand the research work in the field of LIBRARY software system development by considering the role of STAFF performance competencies.

Abstract: 

Purpose: To identify the role of the components of intellectual capital (human, structural and relational) in the performance of employees of the public libraries of the Western Azarbaijan Province in Iran. Method: The current research is an applied study in terms of purpose and a descriptive-correlational study in terms of the data collection and analysis method. The statistical population of the research consists of 199 STAFF of the West Azarbaijan Province's public libraries. To collect data, the Bontis (1998) standard questionnaires on intellectual capital management and Hersey and Blanchard's questionnaire (1992) on employee performance were used with a 5-point Likert scale which contains items such as "knowledge and skills", "perception or imagination of role" and "organizational support". Normality of the data was established at the confidence level of %95 by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. The data obtained were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential methods operated by SPSS software. Findings: The results of linear regression analysis showed that human capital and structural capital could account for 6 percent of the employee performance variable, but was found the changes in the employee performance were not significantly associated with the changes in the relational capital. The results also indicate that the efficiency and effectiveness of the public libraries in Western Azarbaijan Province increase by paying more attention to the human and structure capitals and eliminating the barriers to improve the relational (i. e. customer) capital. Originality/value: The findings showed that attention to the important role of intellectual capital in managerial, technical, social and economic development in public libraries can be decisive. Furthermore, intellectual capital enables the development of inovation in information technology and digital media in libraries and also enables the better service to members.

Abstract: 

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the role of professional development and work ethics, organizational commitment and tend to remain LIBRARY STAFF was conducted. Methodology: This study is correlational using structural equation modeling. . Statistical population includes all 360 LIBRARY STAFF among them 200 persons were selected using stratified random sampling. Morgan table was used to determine sample size. To collect the data, standard questionnaires were used. Structural equations model was used to analyze data. Findings: The results of the statistical analysis showed that there is a positive relationship between professional development with commitment and tend to remain. There is also a positive relationship between professional ethics with commitment and tend to remain. Further analysis showed that professional ethics as a mediator in the relationship between professional development with commitment and tend to remain. Originalit: According to the findings professional development directly enhance organizational commitment and tend to remain is the STAFF. It also confirms the role of professional ethics, professional development has a effect of Indirect, positive and significant on organizational commitment and tend to remain. The results emphasize on necessity of reassessing the mediating role of Professional ethics on surveying the causal relation among Professional development and its consequences.

Abstract: 

The present investigation was carried out using LibQual software in order to evaluate the user view on the quality of services offered by the Central LIBRARY of Tarbiyat Modarress University. It was conducted at three levels of minimum, maximum and real. The sample was drawn from in-house and outside users, including graduate students and faculty members. Findings indicated that in most cases there is a difference between users’ expectations and the services offered by the LIBRARY. Users’ demands are somewhat satisfied at minimum level, but there is a significant gap with respect to desired level and users’ maximum expectations. Among different user groups, whether faculty or student, there is a significant difference with respect to the gap between the expectations and the services offered. There had been no significant difference of opinion among in-house and outside users regarding quality measures dealing with STAFF and the LIBRARY space. There is however a significant difference regarding the quality of sources helf. By using the factor analysis method, four factors were identified as contributing factors to the quality of LIBRARY services. These were “availability and accessibility of sources”, “Availability of qualified and diligent STAFF”, “Suitability of space for individual or group study and learning” and “Ready Access to Information”.

Abstract: 

Purpose: To identify the effect of organizational culture on the empowerment of National LIBRARY and Archives of Iran (NLAI) STAFF.Methodology: This survey is conducted on 285 STAFFs of NLAI using a questionnaire. Robins model is used to recognize organizational culture and Thomas and Velthouse models to identify empowerment factors.Results: There is a direct and significant correlation between organizational culture factors (risk taking, management support, formal control, self-control, reward system, participation in decision-making and organizational identity) and STAFF empowerment.Conclusion: The organizational culture which empowers STAFFs causes more motivation and enthiusiasm among STAFF to fullfil their jobs with increased creativity and innovation.
